American Heretics: The Politics of the Gospel

A group of deeply faithful Christians in Oklahoma are challenging firmly rooted fundamentalist Christian doctrine. Labeled as "heretics" for their beliefs and seemingly defiant interpretations of the Gospels, they are open minded to the Bible as a living document, preaching more forgiving and inclusive interpretations of biblical doctrine.

One of the most distinguished lecture series on preaching in the world, the Lyman Beecher Lectureship was founded in 1871 by a gift from Henry W. Sage of Brooklyn, N.Y., as a memorial to "the great divine whose name it bears," to sponsor an annual series of lectures on a topic appropriate to the work of the ministry. Robin Meyers’ lecture series Undone was featured in 2013.
